HISTORY
Lamb of God Deliverance Tabernacle was founded by Pastor Belinda Nelson-Wright in 2003 at the Comfort Suites Hotel in Charlotte's University City area. After just over a year, the church moved to the Grier Heights Community, where many souls were saved and lives were changed through its ministry. In 2016, the congregation relocated to 2844 Freedom Drive to accommodate its growth and expand its mission. After eight years at that location, Lamb of God Deliverance Tabernacle found its current home at 711 Main St SW in Concord, NC, where it continues to serve the community, offering a place of worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth under the leadership of Pastor Samuel & Lady Katasha Tyson.
OUR FOUNDER
Lamb of God was founded in 2003, under our Pastor Belinda Wright.
God called Pastor Wright to this ministry with the scripture Isaiah 43: 1-4. He anointed her to reach the youth as well as the seasoned souls with sound doctrine and teaching of God’s word. Pastor Wright has labored in the vineyards traveling and ministering throughout the country in revivals, conferences, and anniversaries.
Pastor Wright began seeking the Lord at the ripe age of four years old with a woman from the Universal Missionary Home. Pastor Wright gave her life to the lord at the age of 27 in September of 1977, and was baptized by the late Bishop David Hickey, Pastor of Glorious Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. She was witnessed to by Dr. Barbara Hamlin and received the gift of the Holy Ghost the next day during a service where Bishop Adams of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edison, and NJ preached Romans 12:1-3. She was called to ministry less than one year later.
Pastor Belinda Wright was born on April 22, 1950 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the last George and Ethel Nelson. She is the third child of 13 children. She has 4 children: Katasha Nelson Tyson, Nieta Nelson, Meisha Nelson, Hassan Nelson, and raised Deonttye Nelson as her own. She has also raised many children through her walk with Christ. God also joined her in Holy matrimony to Pastor Larry Wright on August 4, 2012.
Pastor Wright attended Manhattan Bible Institute for Evangelism. She also attended the New Jersey Bible Institute. God led her to move to Charlotte, North Carolina. Originally called to pastor in 1988. In 2003, she became pastor of Lamb of God Deliverance Tabernacle. In May 2019, Pastor Wright was called home for entirety. We are grateful for what she started and we thank the Lord for giving us 16 years of ministry with Pastor Wright that we can celebrate. We pray for his continued strength and guidance to keep the work of the lord going.
VISION
Our vision at Lamb of God Deliverance Tabernacle is to cultivate a culture of worship, prayer, and discipleship that equips believers to impact their families, neighborhoods, and workplaces with God’s love. We aspire to be a beacon of hope and compassion, reaching out to the hurting and marginalized, and demonstrating the kingdom of God through acts of service and justice. Ultimately, we aim to see our community and beyond transformed by the gospel, as we continue to grow in faith, unity, and love.
